Pet food processing technology is the combination of feed production technology and food production technology. The production process of pet food can be roughly divided into two types: one is the extrusion process with drying after extrusion as the main line, and the other is the baking process of extrusion baking. The difference between semi-dry and semi-wet products and dry pet food is mainly in the moisture content. Dry pet food mainly depends on the low moisture content to ensure the product's shelf life, while semi-dry and semi-wet products rely on some salts, sugars and other substances to reduce the water activity, and use some bacterial inhibitors to inhibit the growth and reproduction of mold, so as to ensure the product's shelf life. Pet cans are obtained through high-temperature and high-pressure sterilization process.
In addition to canned food, other pet foods are closely related to the extrusion process, and the extrusion technology is basically used in the processing of pet food. 2. Influence of material properties: density, starch content, moisture, fiber content, etc.
3. Effect of conditioning: feed rate, steam and water addition, steam quality, water temperature, etc.
4. The influence of operation and use: the matching of screw and sleeve, the replacement of formula, the insulation of sleeve, the cooling of screw, the subsequent processing control method, etc.
