Description
According to density changes and puffing degree, puffed fish feed can be divided into floating fish feed and sinking fish feed. Floating feed is currently the most widely used extruded feed in the fish farming industry, and the technology is relatively mature. Floating extruded pellet feed is heated and modulated by a modulator, and fish feed raw materials are made through a continuous mixing process. After the material enters the extruder, it is heated, pressurized, matured, puffed, and granulated. Compared with floating fish feed, sinking pellet feed has different requirements for the production process of fish feed due to different specific gravity requirements even if the same fish is used.
In short, the fish feed extrusion process requires a hammer mill to grind the raw materials, a mixer to mix the raw materials including vitamin mineral premix, a wet fish feed extruder with steam preconditioner (yes , high-quality pellets require steam), and the cutter head cuts and shapes the pellets, and finally a dry cooler to ensure the shelf life and stability of the pellets.
