Principle of Puffing Extruder
The material enters the barrel of the extruder from the hopper, and with the rotation of the screw, the change of the screw structure, the increase of the pressure, and the external heating from the barrel and the material between the two screws and the friction between the screw and the barrel Under strong stirring, mixing and shearing, the temperature of the material rises to fully gelatinize the raw material starch. In the closed sleeve, the water will not evaporate quickly. When the material is instantly extruded from a mold with a certain shape, the pressure is released quickly. The material expands accordingly, and the moisture is quickly lost from the material, so that the product is quickly cooled to about 80°C, thereby being shaped and maintaining its expanded shape.
