The dog food extruder is a kind of equipment that processes dog food into a puffed shape. Its principle is to use the conditions of high temperature and high pressure to instantly expand the starch, protein, and other ingredients in the dog food to form puffed dog food.
The working principle of the dog food extruder is to add dog food into the machine and send the dog food into the heating chamber through the screw conveyor. In the heating chamber, the dog food is subjected to high temperature and high pressure, and the starch and protein molecules begin to change, resulting in expansion. At the same time, due to the high pressure in the heating chamber, the moisture in the dog food also begins to evaporate, making the dog food expand.
In the heating chamber, the temperature of dog food can reach above 150℃, and the pressure can also reach above 10MPa. Under such high temperatures and high-pressure conditions, the starch and protein molecules in the dog food begin to change, forming a new structure, making the dog food softer and easier to digest.
