How to produce high-protein, high-quality fish feed

1. Select high-quality raw materials to ensure high protein content
The core of high-protein fish feed lies in the selection of raw materials. Common high-quality protein sources include fish meal, soy protein, insect protein (such as black soldier fly larvae), algae protein, etc. Among them, fish meal is rich in essential amino acids and is a traditional high-protein raw material; while insect protein and algae protein are becoming emerging alternatives due to their sustainability and high conversion rate.

2. Scientific formula optimization to improve feed utilization
In addition to high protein, the formula of fish feed also needs to consider the balance of fat, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Modern feed production technology uses computer formula optimization, combined with the nutritional needs of fish at different growth stages, to accurately adjust the proportion of ingredients to improve the digestibility and absorption rate of feed and reduce waste.

3. Advanced processing technology to ensure feed quality
The production of high-quality fish feed is inseparable from advanced processing technology. At present, the mainstream processing methods include puffing technology and micro-crushing technology:
Puffing technology: Through high temperature and high pressure treatment, the feed particles are puffed to improve palatability and stability in water and reduce the dissolution rate.
Micro-crushing technology: crush the raw materials to a finer particle size to improve digestibility, especially suitable for young fish feed.
In addition, some companies also use low-temperature drying, enzymatic fermentation and other processes to retain the nutritional components of the raw materials and enhance the immunity of fish.
