1. Side feeding technology improves the uniformity of the material and significantly increases the output. The position and shape of the feed inlet significantly affect the feeding efficiency. Under the same parameters, a larger feeding area leads to a higher output. For the same feeding area, a rectangular cross-section has a higher feeding efficiency than a circular cross-section. The use of side-feeding twin-screw extruders is based on these considerations.

2. It has strong self-cleaning capabilities. Due to the interlocking of the two threaded sleeves, the contact surface forms a continuous spatial curve with a uniform gap. With the simultaneous rotation of the two threaded sleeves, the spatial curve also moves, creating a self-adjusting effect between the screws. At the same time, the adhesives on the thread surface are removed and no material residues are left.

3. The kneading blocks mix the materials internally. Increasing the number of kneading blocks in a twin-screw extruder increases the number of kneading cycles and improves the kneading quality. Increasing the pressure in the kneading zone increases the kneading resistance, increases the kneading strength, and significantly improves the kneading quality.

4. The twin-screw extruder has high adaptability. For materials with high viscosity, shallow groove screws can be used for low shear rate processing.
